When I first started blogging, I never imagined that I would actually pay for “blogging education.” But, there’s a LOT to learn to about blogging. Especially if you are blogging as a business. I’m pretty sure that most people who decide they want to start a blog don’t think to themselves… “Gee, I’m pretty good at writing, technology, marketing and sales. I know a lot about WordPress, plugins, social media, copywriting, editing and sales funnels. Blogging would be the perfect job for me!” So, if you want to learn how to blog like a professional, some level of continuous education is pretty much mandatory.

If you’ve made it past the early stages of starting a blog and especially if you’ve joined a few Facebook groups for bloggers, you’ve also probably realized that blogging is a complicated business. There are so many things you need to learn and the cost of that “blogging education” isn’t cheap. It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you realize how much you need to learn, how quickly you want to learn it and the investment that is required, both in terms of time and money.

Learn How to Blog

Feeling overwhelmed? The good news is that all the information that you need is out there. Everything you need to know can be found online. But unless you know where to look, you could spend days, weeks, or even months trying to find the right information. Which is why some people take out a second mortgage to purchase expensive blogging courses, join membership sites or pay for professional coaching services.

Sure, you could scour the Internet and read a million different blog posts. Or forgo your summer vacation to sign up for that signature blogging course. But, here’s the exciting part! I recently discovered a great, affordable option that will save you both time and money.

A Light Bulb Moment

A few weeks ago my son asked if we could sign up for Kindle Unlimited. He had noticed that the series of books that he was reading was available on Kindle Unlimited and we were paying about $7 per book to purchase them. Not a hardcover or paperback book – we were paying about $7 per book to purchase the Kindle version. To be read once and then never read again.

I gladly signed up. And then I thought… I wonder if you could learn how to blog by reading e-books available on Kindle.

Kindle Unlimited

Kindle is Amazon’s e-reader, but it is also Amazon’s brand name for everything to do with e-books. You don’t need a Kindle device to read these e-books. You can read them on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. The great thing about Kindle Unlimited is that you pay only $9.99 per month, and get unlimited access to many, many e-books available on Amazon! For bloggers, this is extremely useful as it includes thousands of titles that are useful for everything to do with starting and running a successful blog or online business.

A Master’s Degree in Blogging

There are a lot things that go into running a successful blog or online business. Saying I want to learn how to blog is like opening a can of worms.

First of all, there are all the challenges of simply starting a blog. Technical issues like choosing a blogging platform, web hosts, themes and so forth. And once you’ve made all those decisions, figuring out how to set it up and maintain it.
